About me

Hi there!🖖 My name is Hugo Ponce and I am a UX/UI Designer based in Monterrey, México. With 8 years of experience in the UX and Product Design industry, I have developed a deep passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and projects. I started my journey as a graphic designer in advertising agencies, where I honed my skills in visual design. Later, I transitioned to web design in marketing agencies, where I specialized in developing corporate websites and landing pages for marketing campaigns.

Driven by my curiosity and desire to learn, I then ventured into the world Tech companies and Startups. It was here that I embraced the role of a full-time UX designer, applying my expertise to create meaningful and user-centered designs.

In my recent positions, I’ve had the awesome opportunity to collaborate with major players in the industry, including Sodimac, Falabella, and HEB, where I served as both a Product Designer and a Senior UX/UI Designer. These roles have been invaluable in teaching me the significance of grasping user needs and applying design thinking methodologies to craft products that genuinely address those needs.

As a designer, my main tool is Figma. I find it to be an incredibly versatile and powerful tool for creating beautiful and functional designs. However, I am also proficient in other design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, and Miro.

One of my strengths as a UX/UI Designer is my ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. I thrive in an environment that encourages teamwork and communication, and I am always receptive to feedback. This openness allows me to continuously improve my skills and deliver better design solutions.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to connecting with you and potentially collaborating on exciting projects in the future.
